The Complete Drawing Experience

For this fall, our drawing class will cover the basic skills of drawing, add details, and tap into your imagination and self-expression. We will combine the experience of drawing from life with the limitless possibilities of drawing from the imagination. We have 6 sessions planned. We begin with the basic tools of drawing, line, shadow, tones, and picture space. Then we will observe the world around us, drawing people, places, pets and objects, with insight and clarity. We will continue with an exploration of our own imagination. Looking inward, we can invent places of beauty and serenity, express happiness, anger or discontent, even tap into our nightmares. We have specific and directed projects to work on, look at some master drawings, and we will be open to your own interests and ideas. We will work on these projects together, step by step, at your pace. Both beginners and experienced artists can join this community of creative souls. Experienced artists will be challenged to reach another level. Tools will include pencils, pen and ink, colored pencils and markers, and a little computer art. In addition, we will explore how to use the internet to find source and inspiration. Join us, have fun drawing together this spring!  Supply list in the registration email.
